On Announcing an Open Competition for Academic Positions at the Faculty of Medicine of LLC “Unilevel” Based on Article 32, Paragraph 2; Article 34; Article 35, Paragraphs 1-5 of the Law of Georgia “On Higher Education”; Paragraph 10 of the Charter of LLC “Unilevel”; the Statute of LLC “Unilevel”; and the “Procedure for Selection, Workload, and Remuneration of Academic Personnel of LLC ‘Unilevel’”, I ORDER:

1. An open competition is announced starting September 19, 2025, for 37 (thirty-seven) staff units at the Faculty of Medicine of LLC “Unilevel” (hereinafter – the University):

  • Professor – 11 (eleven) staff units;
  • Associate Professor – 5 (five) staff units;
  • Assistant Professor – 5 (five) staff units;
  • Assistant – 16 (sixteen) staff units.

1.a) Academic position – Professor:

• Basic directions (Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics) – 2 (two) staff units;
• Preclinical directions (Clinical skills, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Public Health and Management) – 1 (one) staff unit;
• Clinical directions (Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Traumatology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Allergology, Dermatovenereology, Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Radiology, Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, Reanimation-Anesthesiology, Angiosurgery, Cardiac Surgery, Emergency Care, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) – 8 (eight) staff units.

1.b) Academic position – Associate Professor:

• Basic directions (Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics) – 1 (one) staff unit;
• Preclinical directions (Clinical skills, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Public Health and Management) – 1 (one) staff unit;
• Clinical directions (as above) – 3 (three) staff units.

1.c) Academic position – Assistant Professor:

• Basic directions (as above) – 1 (one) staff unit;
• Preclinical directions (as above) – 1 (one) staff unit;
• Clinical directions (as above) – 3 (three) staff units.

1.d) Academic position – Assistant:

• Basic directions (as above) – 2 (two) staff units;
• Preclinical directions (as above) – 3 (three) staff units;
• Clinical directions (as above) – 11 (eleven) staff units.

2. For participation in the competition, the following documents shall be submitted electronically by the candidate:

• Personal application (Annex No. 1 to the Order);
• Copy of identity document;
• CV (resume) listing published scientific papers;
• Copy of document confirming relevant academic degree;
• Specialty certificate (for clinical disciplines);
• Document confirming English language proficiency;
• References from the Public Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on “Conviction for crimes against sexual freedom and privacy” and “Deprivation of rights”.

3. Satisfactory qualification requirements for participation in the competition are determined as follows:

3.a) Professor – a person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree, who has:

• At least 6 (six) years of scientific-pedagogical work experience;
• For clinical disciplines – additionally a specialty certificate and at least 9 (nine) years of recent clinical experience.

3.b) Associate Professor – a person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree, who has:

• At least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience;
• For clinical disciplines – additionally a specialty certificate and at least 5 years of recent clinical experience.

3.c) Assistant Professor – a person with a doctoral or equivalent academic degree, who has: clinical disciplines – additionally a specialty certificate and at least 3 years of recent clinical experience.

3.d) Assistant – a PhD student (in medical doctoral program or clinical direction).
Additional qualification requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience teaching in English-language programs, OR
• At least 1 year of medical practice in English in a foreign clinic, OR
• At least 1 year of teaching/research in biomedical direction in English in a foreign research institution, OR
• Completion of English-language pre-diploma or post-diploma program (confirmed by document), or international English certificate at minimum B2 level (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, UNIcert, EnglishScore, etc.).

4. The competition must comply with the principles of transparency, equality, and fair competition.

5. Assessment of personal data of competition participants shall be carried out by the competition commission established by the Chancellor’s order.

6. The competition announcement shall be published on the University’s official website www.unilevel.ge and www.jobs.ge.

7. Competition applications shall be accepted electronically at: info@unilevel.ge, hr@unilevel.ge.

8. The competition shall be held in four stages:

• First stage – Primary assessment of competitors’ documentation by the competition commission (October 20–21, 2025);
• Second stage – Interviews with selected competitors (October 21–23, 2025);
• Third stage – Demonstration lecture-presentation (October 24–27, 2025);
• Fourth stage – Final decision (October 27, 2025), appointment to academic position by Chancellor’s order on October 28, 2025.

9. Acceptance of competition documents ends on October 20, 2025, at 14:00.

10. Competition results shall be announced on October 28, 2025, on the University’s official website www.unilevel.ge.

11. Competition documents submitted by competitors shall be processed in compliance with the Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”, only for the purposes arising from this Order.

12. The University’s Human Resources Department is assigned to place this Order on the official website.

13. The Order enters into force upon signing.

14. The Order may be appealed within one month from issuance to the Tbilisi City Court (address: Tbilisi, David Aghmashenebeli Ave. No. 64).
